CEENQA General Assembly discusses the importance of human resources development
This year’s General Assembly of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) took place on 2 and 3 June in Astana, Kazakhstan. The General Assembly was hosted by the Kazakh quality assurance agency IAAR .
In his address, CEENQA President Dr Franci Demšar highlighted the successful integration of the host country into the international education space, while emphasising the key role of quality assurance agencies in improving higher education and promoting quality culture.
Alongside the General Assembly, a workshop entitled “People and Culture in QA Agencies” was also held, focusing on issues related to human resource management and staff development. NAKVIS staff member Nataša Kramar also gave a presentation on human resources development at the Agency.
While the General Assembly discussed important topical issues in the field of quality assurance in higher education, it also provided an opportunity for the exchange of good practices between the participating agencies.
The Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation with 41 members from 26 different countries, 20 of which are also members of the European Association of Quality Agencies in Higher Education (ENQA). The main objective of its members is to develop and cooperate in the field of quality assurance with the aim of advancing the entire European Higher Education Area.
