NAKVIS maintains an active role in ECA: Klemen Šubic’s term on the ECA Board extended
The European Consortium for Accreditation in higher education (ECA) organised its annual Members’ Seminar and General Assembly in cooperation with the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) in Stockholm from 2 to 5 June 2026. The event was also attended by the agency’s Deputy Director, Klemen Šubic.
The seminar was aimed at professional exchange of knowledge and experience among ECA members. The focus was on approaches to quality assurance in research at institutional and programme level, as well as on challenges in organising and delivering study programmes with lower student interest, which nevertheless remain important for maintaining the diversity of study provision and ensuring future teaching staff.
Elections to the ECA Board also took place as part of the General Assembly. Klemen Šubic was re-elected as a Board member for a two-year term, thereby confirming agency’s active role in the work of the association and in shaping common European directions in quality assurance in higher education.
The event continued with additional training sessions dedicated to the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes and to quality assurance in higher education in the broader European context.
