8th NAKVIS International Conference: Rethinking Quality in Higher Education – Beyond ESG

The Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS) and the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) cordially invite you to the 8th NAKVIS International Conference, taking place on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, from 13:00 to 15:15.

Together with Slovenian and international guests, we will discuss excellence in higher education, the role of academies of sciences and arts, and different approaches to quality assurance. Speakers will present voluntary standards of excellence and compare European and US approaches to external quality assurance. Particular attention will be given to how agencies can strengthen a culture of quality and contribute to the development of quality assurance systems through activities beyond their formal remit.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, with online participation open to all interested participants. Participation is free of charge.
