Meeting with the Macedonian Quality Assurance Agency in Higher Education

On 21 January 2026, the Director of the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, Dr Franci Demšar, met in Ljubljana with a representative of the Macedonian quality assurance agency in higher education, Prof. Dr Marjan Gjurovski, President of the Council for Accreditation of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two agencies, exploring opportunities for joint projects, and exchanging experiences related to legislative developments in both countries. The interlocutors also discussed the organisation and operation of national quality assurance agencies, as well as cooperation within international quality assurance organisations.

Both sides expressed a shared interest in further collaboration and joint engagement within the European Higher Education Area.
