NAKVIS and AZVO: Enhancing Cooperation for Quality in Education

On Monday, April 7, 2025, a professional gathering between the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS) and the Agency for Quality in Education (AZVO) took place at Hotel Balnea in Dolenjske Toplice. The purpose of the event was to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions, exchange professional experiences, and address common challenges in ensuring and developing the quality of the education system.

After the opening speaches by the head  of AZVO and the director of NAKVIS both agencies presented brief summaries of their work. This was followed by workshops in smaller groups, where participants delved into specific challenges and exchanged examples of good practices within individual fields. The aim of the workshops was to encourage open dialogue and develop proposals for further cooperation and improvements. This part of the event highlighted strong interest and openness to the exchange of practices: NAKVIS recognized the organization of expert training by the Croatian agency as an example of good practice, while AZVO highlighted the organization of work and professional support for employees at NAKVIS as a positive aspect of their activities.

The final part of the meeting was dedicated to presenting the findings from the workshops and summarizing shared impressions. The meeting concluded with informal socializing. Both agencies see the meeting as an important opportunity to enhance collaboration and provide mutual support in the continued development of quality in the education system.
