NAKVIS at the CEENQA General Assembly and Workshop in Split
Representatives of SQAA participated in the General Assembly and Workshop of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), held on 9 and 10 June 2026 in Split. The event, hosted by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE), marked the 25th anniversary of CEENQA.
The workshop provided an opportunity to reflect on the development of quality assurance in higher education to date and to discuss future directions in this field. Special emphasis was placed on emerging trends in the next decade, the role of internal and external stakeholders, and the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on external quality assurance procedures.
The programme of the first day included opening addresses by the President of CEENQA and the Director of ASHE, a presentation marking CEENQA’s 25th anniversary, and contributions on future trends in quality assurance, the role of students in the quality of higher education, and stakeholder expectations. Participants also took part in a panel discussion on the perspectives of internal and external stakeholders on CEENQA’s work and attended presentations of good practices by agencies in the field of the digital transformation of external quality assurance.
On the second day, the CEENQA General Assembly was held, during which members discussed the network’s reports, the annual report and finances, membership, voting procedures, and plans for the next General Assembly and Workshop.
Participation in the event enabled a direct exchange of experience with quality assurance agencies from Central and Eastern Europe and provided broader insight into current challenges in external quality assurance.
