NAKVIS at the Conference on the Future of Education and the Labor Market
A representative of NAKVIS attended the conference Connected in Knowledge: Shaping the Future of Education and the Labor Market on 23 October 2025, organized by the University of Maribor as part of the Agile Development of Education and Micro-Credentials project, funded through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (NOO).
The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between the University of Maribor and the professional environment. The main focus was on the design of short courses and training programs for microcredentials, with greater involvement of employees in lifelong learning and the integration of industry experts into the teaching process. Opportunities for collaboration on student projects and theses, as well as connections with university laboratories and research institutes, were also presented.
During the discussion, representatives from institutions and industry highlighted best practices, challenges, and future development opportunities in the field of micro-credentials, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and valuing competencies, particularly those required by the labor market. The final part of the event featured presentations by the University of Maribor faculties, showcasing their possibilities for collaboration with the professional environment.
NAKVIS representative Klemen Šubic participated in the roundtable discussion alongside representatives of the University of Maribor, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (MVZI), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS), Lek d.d., and the Employment Service of Slovenia (ZRSZ).
