SMEQA Project: Two-day Workshop in Banja Luka
On March 24–25, NAKVIS representatives Klemen Šubic and Nataša Kramar attended the workshop “Support to External Quality Assurance: Strengthening Capacities of the QA System in Higher Education,” held in Banja Luka as part of the SMEQA project. The event brought together representatives from higher education institutions, competent educational authorities, the Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (CIP BiH), the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HEA BiH), and project partners from Croatia and Slovenia. The workshop was opened by the project coordinators, the representatives of the University of Zenica, who once again emphasized the importance of aligning domestic quality assurance practices with ESG standards.
Throughout the event, participants discussed the role of QA agencies in national higher education systems. Special contributions were made by the international partners AZVO and NAKVIS, whose representatives shared insights on external QA, expert training, institutional support, student engagement in QA, and dialogue with decision-makers. The workshop concluded with a consortium meeting, where partners outlined the action plan for the following year.
