Strengthening Cooperation Between the Slovenian and Hungarian Agencies

On 23 September, the National Agency for Quality in Higher Education (NAKVIS) visited the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB) in Budapest. The main purpose of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation, opening new opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of good practices between the two agencies.

The visit began with welcome speeches by the Director of NAKVIS, Dr. Franci Demšar, the President of MAB, Dr. János Ede Szilágyi, and the Director General, Dr. Péter Levente Lakatos. The directors presented the work of both agencies and highlighted shared goals in the field of quality assurance. Participants were divided into groups, where they engaged in constructive discussions on accreditation and evaluation procedures, international and project activities, communication, analyses and IT, as well as legal, HR, and financial aspects of the agency’s operations.

The final part of the meeting was devoted to presenting the main findings from the group work. In their closing remarks, the directors of both agencies reaffirmed the importance of mutual cooperation and the exchange of experiences. The visit represents an important step toward a deeper partnership between the two agencies.
